Pace was created from my belief that there was a need for an experienced, ethical, reliable recruitment business to service the industrial sector. Who could not only support clients with smaller more specific needs, but can successfully supply high volume recruitment solutions, without losing the personal touch and knowledge of the client’s pinch points.

Why Pace... I believe that the key to what we do is based on speed and accuracy. Asking the right questions early on to really get to know potential staff, clients, and candidates. The promise behind the Pace brand is to ensure an honest and fair recruitment agency with complete transparency. I ensure that this culture stays alive within the business as well as good team spirit and continuous communication and development.

Having worked in recruitment for many years across various roles, I have learnt that understanding not only the client and candidate needs but also those of individuals is vitally important. I want everyone we deal with to feel valued and for their opinions to be listened to. People are the key to what we do and help us to make a very challenging job more enjoyable.

I work hard to identify needs and build professional relationships with both clients and candidate. My role is to maintain good industry knowledge whilst keeping a close eye on the candidate market to highlight opportunities and risks.  

I am the vital link between candidates and clients, building positive relationships across both stakeholders. Once a candidate is matched to a suitable role, I will communicate details of the job and be your point of contact.   

Starting off as an Administrator for a small local recruitment company, I have gained valuable knowledge over the years to get to where I am today. It motivates me knowing each day I can help change people’s lives by matching their skill sets to jobs. I believe in listening effectively to our candidate and clients’ needs by coming up with quick solutions to achieve the best outcome for both parties. 

I think the biggest problem the recruitment industry has is communication. As Recruiters we are constantly multitasking and it is too easy for things to get missed or forgotten about, which ultimately impacts both clients and candidates. Here at Pace, we are a dedicated team who are passionate about doing recruitment well, where communication is key to the success of not just our business but also to the success of our client and candidates.

After studying Business Communications and Business Development, I decided that I wanted to work in the recruitment industry and began my career with a local recruitment agency as a Payroll Administrator. Working in recruitment has given me valuable knowledge to be flexible in various roles within the industry and now with over 20 years' experience, I have a deep understanding of recruitment within the industrial and manufacturing sectors and the needs of our candidates. 

Pace is a unique and progressive business which embraces a more forward-thinking approach, changing the perception of temporary recruitment and using a more personal approach. 

For me, it is very important to work as part of a team that has these values so we can be the best at providing a fantastic services for our workers and clients.

I started my career in Retail. This has taught me the importance of providing great customer service and always working to customer satisfaction. I now have 6 years’ experience working in customer facing roles.

I started my recruitment career as an Industrial Recruiter; speaking with candidates and placing them into roles that suited their requirements. I then progressed to a Trainee Recruitment Consultant which has allowed me to liaise with both clients and candidates to further my understanding of their requirements. I aim to provide the best service to both our clients and our candidates.

Helping a person in need of work is my biggest motivation. Going home after a long day, knowing that you have helped a person and made a difference to their life by helping them get a new role or get back into work is a feeling which brings me joy and feeling of success. My biggest motivation outside of work has got to be my family (which of course includes my animals). I am lucky and thankful to have a supportive family around me.

Nowadays I think one of the biggest challenges we face is lack of communication and commitment. Maintaining a good relationship with both candidates and clients is key here and ensures that all parties are kept up to date during each stage of the recruitment process.

After graduating with my Master's degree in English Philology, I worked in business translation prior to spending five years in retail. In 2015 I decided to make a strategic career shift to recruitment, where I have found my true passion. My recruitment expertise primarily focuses on logistics and transport, where I excel in identifying and placing top talent in these critical sectors.  

Throughout my career, I have looked for opportunities to develop both professionally and personally, whether through formal education, on-the-job training, or self-directed learning. My commitment to continuous improvement enables me to adapt to industry changes and stay ahead in my field. 

I believe in conducting myself with honesty and fairness in all my interactions. Integrity and Transparency are my top priorities, this approach builds trust with candidates, colleagues, and clients. 

I am passionate about my work and approach each day with a positive attitude and eagerness to contribute. This enthusiasm not only fuels my own motivation but also inspires those around me.

Olha Omelchuk Office Administrator


I began my career in retail in my home country, working for several years with various luxury brands before becoming a store manager. I had a rewarding experience and valued every day working with these companies. Those roles gave me a great understanding of people and what exceptional service should be. 

After my managerial role in Ukraine, I moved into a more specialised career as a recruiter two years ago. This was my first job in this country, and I am very grateful to Pace Recruitment for their trust and support during my short-term contract here. After that, I worked for a year at a secondary school as an administrative assistant in student services before returning to Pace Recruitment in a new role as an office administrator. 

Throughout this journey, my values have stayed the same and have become even clearer with Pace Recruitment. I am committed to personal development and keen to improve my current skills and learn new ones. My colleagues and the candidates we work with, who are eager to achieve more, are my main sources of motivation. 

I know that the recruitment industry has its challenges, especially in providing excellent customer service in a busy environment. Our candidates and clients deserve this, and I believe our team, including myself, has found the right balance between efficiency, personalisation, and quality work.
